Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MH Works Limited ("Busy", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares personal data when you use Busy at get-busy.app and its related services. Questions: [email protected].
1. Scope
This policy covers the Busy website and web app at get-busy.app, the Busy API, and the optional connector that lets an AI assistant act on your tasks.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Account data
- your email address and display name
- a hashed password if you sign up with email (we never store your password in plain text), or a Google account identifier and email if you sign in with Google
- basic account metadata such as when the account was created
2.2 Your content
- the notebooks, tasks, notes, times, recurring rules and any metadata you type into Busy
- this content is stored in a SQLite database scoped to your account
2.3 Sessions and connected apps
- a session cookie that keeps you signed in
- if you connect an assistant such as Claude, the access grant and the tokens that authorise it (tokens are stored hashed, not in plain text), which you can revoke at any time under Notebooks → Connected apps
2.4 Local browser data
- small preferences kept in your browser's local storage, such as your light/dark theme choice and which sections you have collapsed
2.5 Technical data
- server and proxy logs (for example request metadata and IP address) needed to run and secure the service
Busy does not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
3. How we use data
- to provide and operate Busy and keep your notebooks in sync across your devices
- to authenticate you and secure your account
- to let assistants you have explicitly connected read and change your tasks on your behalf
- to detect abuse, enforce rate limits and protect the integrity of the service
- to diagnose errors and improve reliability
- to respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations
4. Legal bases (UK/EU users)
Where UK or EU GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more of: performance of our contract with you (to provide the service), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, reliability), legal obligations, and consent where it is required.
5. How we share data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the providers that help us run Busy, and only as needed:
- Hetzner — server hosting and infrastructure
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google
If you connect a third-party assistant (such as Claude), that assistant acts on your behalf with the access you grant it. We may also disclose data if required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a business transfer.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
7. Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. Operational logs are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the service (typically a short rolling window). Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
8. Deleting your data
You can delete individual notebooks at any time in the app. To delete your account and the data associated with it, contact us at [email protected].
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a regulator. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].
10. Children
Busy is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords, encryption in transit (HTTPS), HTTP-only session cookies, per-account database isolation, and storing assistant tokens hashed at rest. No system is ever completely secure.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version here with a revised effective date.
